Alternatively, you can obtain it from The Tanzania Embassy website and which will cost $100 per head for the US passport holders. What is the mode of paying departure tax and do I have to pay?
Yes, like other international flight destination Private Guided Safaris charge an airport departure tax for all international flights. Before departure, you should confirm with your airline in order to find out if the tax of $ 20 is included or excluded in your ticket. If not, you will be required to pay in cash upon arrival in the airport. We accept either local currency or US dollars.

The Kenyan currency is in shillings (KSH) while the Tanzania currency is in shillings (TSH). You can withdraw and deposit your money using ATMS or direct banking, PayPal m-pesa, etc. We also accept and prefer gratuities in US dollars.

How much money will I carry with me?
That will depend on several factors such as the food, drinks, etc. it is up to you to decide the amount you want to carry. The driver’s gratuity is approximately $8-10 per head, which is paid at the end of each trip. You can use your credit card to pay and purchase other necessities. We love dollars so we accept them.

Yes, you will access ATM machines only in the big cities such as Arusha and Nairobi but rare in some game lodges.

Is it possible to charge my electrical accessories while on safari?
Yes it is possible, our major hotels provides appliances upon request such as hair dryers, irons, etc. the local power supply is about 220/240 AC, 50 HZ while plugs are 3 pint square. If you are from northern America and planning to come with your 110/120 volt accessories charges do not hesitate to bring, bring also a voltage and socket adapters.
Will I be able to use my phone while on Holiday?
Only GSM compatible phones will be able to connect to the cellular system. If you phone is duo sim it is advisable to buy a prepaid sim card converter in order to convert you phone to local service account. It will be much cheaper than using roaming services or international rates.
Do I require any vaccinations before visiting Kenya
Immunization against typhoid, cholera, anti-malaria medication and yellow fever is recommended.
